Tech Company Boosts Innovation Economy
Twitch, a video game livestreaming service owned by Amazon, will join a growing number of video game companies moving into Irvine Company’s new Innovation Office Park.
The San Francisco-based company has signed a 26,100-square-foot lease at the open-air office village visible from I-5 at Sand Canyon Avenue.
Twitch joins Sega, a Japanese video game company known for Sonic the Hedgehog, as well as Postcard Game Studio, Frost Giant Studios and Notorious Studios, at Innovation Office Park. Amenities include electric roll-up doors, an open-air cafe, outdoor workspaces and an indoor/outdoor fitness center.
Irvine has become a growing hub for the $150 billion annual video game industry following the worldwide success of Blizzard Entertainment and Ready At Dawn, both headquartered in town.
