Nike wants to meet shoppers on their “wellness journeys,” whether that means running on a track or walking on a trail or sitting on a meditation cushion.
The new Nike Well Collective – Irvine, which opened in June 2023 at the Spectrum Center, showcases clothing, footwear and accessories for what it calls “the big, beautiful mess of feeling good.” Walking shoes, leggings, bras and more curated offerings expand on the traditional Nike staples of shoes, shorts, caps and T-shirts. You can shop in person or buy products online.
In summer 2023, the new store will also host fitness activities, including cycling classes and meditation sessions.
“Irvine Spectrum Center places Nike perfectly in our consumers’ daily path,” says David Kelsay, vice president of Nike’s North America stores. “This location is one of the best places to meet and inspire women in their holistic fitness journeys, especially in the larger Orange County area.”
Upcoming events include a community run from Nike Well Collective – Irvine on July 15, a cycle class at CycleBar on July 19, and a morning meditation on the lawn on July 22. More information is available on the Nike Experiences page on the Nike app.
As Nike pursues its new and broader vision of fitness, it has defined five pillars of wellness as movement, mindfulness, nutrition, rest and connection – goals Kelsay says will be promoted in future events at the Irvine store. The collective will evolve over time, he added, to serve its consumers “the products, experiences and expertise that will help them live well.”
