The Macaraeg’s live in Orchard Hills now. But their journey up the housing ladder is the quintessential Irvine village story.

Ruel Macaraeg bought his first home just after college – a Quail Hill Village townhome sized perfectly for he and his wife, Michelle. That all changed when their twin boys arrived.

The couple took advantage of the Quail Hill home’s appreciation to purchase a newly constructed Irvine Pacific home in Stonegate Village.

“There was a comfort level in buying new in Irvine,” he says. “Everything is planned out.”

As Ruel thrived in his position for an Irvine-based analytics firm and Michelle as an ophthalmologist for Kaiser Permanente, they found their dream home (their third in Irvine). This time, in Orchard Hills.

“It was a no-brainer,” he says. “We’ll never leave Irvine.”
